    Trampoline Buying Guide

Choosing a BERG trampoline comes down to four decisions, in this order: how it sits in the garden, what shape, what size, and which range. This guide takes them one at a time. All prices are the shop's current prices in euro.

    1. How it sits in the garden

Decide this first, because it settles whether you need groundwork. We supply and deliver all three types but do not install; see who installs a trampoline.

    Above ground

    €449 to €4,999

Stands on legs on the lawn. Every above-ground BERG we list is sold with a safety net. No groundwork is needed; it is assembled following BERG's manual.

    See Above ground models

    InGround

    €339 to €1,949

Set into the lawn with a low raised edge. Sold with or without a safety net. The groundwork is done by an installer, landscaper or builder.

    See InGround models

    FlatGround

    €699 to €4,999

Sits completely level with the lawn, so there is no step up and no ladder, and it keeps the view of the garden. It needs groundwork too.

A trampoline set into the ground catches far less wind than one on legs. A safety net on any type still catches wind.

    2. Shape

Pick the shape that matches the space. The table shows what BERG makes in each shape and the sizes we list.

    Square"Ultim" in the name200, 5006 x 6ft to 16 x 16ftAbove ground, FlatGround€699
    • Round: The widest choice of sizes and the lowest starting prices.
    • Oval: Longer than it is wide, which can suit a garden that is too. Made as InGround or above ground; there is no oval FlatGround.
    • Rectangular: Straight sides, in the widest spread of types. The AeroWall stunt wall is made for rectangular FlatGround models only.
    • Square: Two sizes: a small FlatGround and the large Pro Bouncer.

    3. Size

The number in a BERG name is its size in centimetres: a 380 is the 380cm (12.5ft) model. Not every size is made in every range or type, so the product cards on each range page show exactly what exists.

A trampoline also needs free space around it. We do not publish our own figures for that: BERG's manual gives the free space each model needs, and we check your garden against it in the free garden consultation. Measure the area you have in mind, take a couple of photos, and we will tell you which sizes fit.

    4. Range

BERG makes four ranges. The differences are in the springs, the mat, the protective edge and the warranty. These are BERG's own specifications.

    • Pro Bouncer: BERG's top range. 16ft rectangular or square, FlatGround or above ground, rated for users up to 120kg.
    • Favorit, Champion and Elite carry the CE mark and the GS mark (TÜV).
    • Padding warranty is 2 years on Champion and 5 years on Elite.

    Nets and colours

    • Above-ground models are all sold with a safety net.
    • InGround models are sold with or without a net.
    • Round FlatGround models are sold without a net. On the larger rectangular FlatGround models a net is optional.
    • "SPORTS" in a BERG name means the trampoline is supplied without a safety net.
    • BERG trampolines come in grey, green and black. Most of our listings are grey, so ask us about other colours.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What size trampoline do I need?+

It depends on the space you have rather than a rule of thumb. BERG's manual gives the free space each model needs around it. Send us photos and rough measurements in the garden consultation and we will check which sizes fit.

What is the difference between InGround and FlatGround?+

An InGround trampoline is set into the lawn with a low raised edge. A FlatGround sits completely level with the lawn. Both need groundwork, which is done by an installer, landscaper or builder.

What do Grand, Ultim and SPORTS mean in BERG names?+

Grand means oval, Ultim means rectangular, and SPORTS means the trampoline is supplied without a safety net.

How do Champion and Elite differ?+

They share TwinSpring springs, the AirFlow Pro mat and a 30mm protective edge. Elite has heavier frame tubing and a 5 year padding warranty, against 2 years on Champion.

What colours do BERG trampolines come in?+

Grey, green and black. Most models on this site are listed in grey, so ask us about other colours.

Not sure which trampoline suits your garden?

Send us a couple of photos and rough measurements. We will recommend a size and shape and give you a delivered price. It is free and there is no obligation.
